LibreOffice and WebDAV

Recently I made a small demonstration of how to use LibreOffice with CMIS. Now I have also made a video of how to use LibreOffice with WebDAV.

In this demonstration I'm using my ownCloud server on a Raspberry Pi.

Tell me what you think!

  1. Why do you insist on using native LO dialogs for WebDAV? Gtk ones (I guess using GIO) work for me just fine here on Fedora.

  2. @matej: I don't ;-) I just demonstrate using the LibreOffice sialogs. You can of cause use WebDAV with Native OS dialogs (Nautilus in my case). But then its a demonstration of Nautilus isn't it?

But anyway; you are right of cause. It's not necessary to use LibreOffice dialogs.

  3. Interesting. I'm using owncloud client but this method seems easier.

    Thanks.

  4. @Kenneth: As far as I remember you need a special plug-in to ownCloud to enable WebDAV. Just for information :-)

  5. I'm sorry I can't understand your comment (my english is very poor), but I use owncloud in my own server and I can sync the content between all my computers with the sync client for owncloud. For instance you can read my post in diaspora (https://joindiaspora.com/posts/2383341) is in Catalan but you can translate it with google.
Also I usually use webdav in all my computers for read, copy, paste...

    Regards,

  7. @Leif Lodahl: I don’t think so, for me owncloud supports WebDAV out of the box.

  9. Please consider uploading this to archive.org. Not everyone can watch YouTube videos, specially when embedded.
